Collaborates with sanctuary Founder/Director and management team in various administrative areas. Tasks include but not limited to: managing the chimpanzee adoption program, creating and editing copy for fundraisers and printed material, creating and managing social media. Helps newly accepted volunteers prepare and feel confident traveling to and living on-site at our chimpanzee sanctuary in Cameroon. Answers questions and gives advice while advising on administrative necessities such as visa applications, flights and accommodations, packing list, well-being etc. Stays in touch with volunteers upon completion of their time in Cameroon in hopes they will help us advocate for the chimpanzees and other wildlife in the forest from their home countries.

Lived at the sanctuary full-time in a remote location with limited resources and amenities.Responsibilities included: Overseeing the care and management of chimpanzee residents,administering and accounting for all on-site funds, training and supervising volunteers,tracking project inventory, assisting Cameroonian manager with staff assessment andaccountability in a culturally-sensitive manner, assisting veterinary technician with medicalprocedures, providing daily updates to founder/director in the US, purchasing local goodsand interacting with village populations to maintain a positive and stable relationship,assisting with grant proposals and fundraising efforts, writing stories for social mediaplatforms and newsletters, giving sanctuary tours to international visitors.

Helps guide gestational carriers and intended parents through the complex surrogacy process. Meets regularly with clients and interacts with legal, medical and insurance professionals. Daily tasks include facilitating communication between intended parents and surrogates, serving as a point of contact for fertility clinics, insurance brokers and attorneys to ensure smooth progress, conducting match meetings between gestational carriers and intended parents, identifying and troubleshooting sensitive issues, coordinating travel arrangements and ensuring clients feel well-cared for.
