- Led and performed studies of a kinase in response to inflammatory stimuli as a therapeutic target in inflammatory bowel disease in vitro, in vivo and in biopsies of patients suffering from Crohn’s disease resulting in the publication of a preprint publication. - Optimized a method to assess intestinal permeability in vivo that resulted in the publication of a first-author book chapter. - Collaborated in different projects that resulted in 5 peer-reviewed publications.- Coordinated the import of genetically modified mice between IACUC staff and foreign institutions. - Mentored and trained research assistants and new postdoctoral fellows. - Provided critical thinking to understand the response or lack of response of mice and cells to inflammatory stimuli.- Established a protocol to plate 2D monolayers from mouse intestinal stem cells.
