With a BA in Fine Arts and a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Psychology, pursuing an MA in Art Therapy seemed like the perfect fit. Other than my experience working as a clinical psychologist with adults in a psychiatric hospital in Egypt, I have gained experience in the UK practicing Art Therapy with both children and adults working with a wide range of mental and personality disorders. As an art therapist I follow an eclectic approach dependent on clients’ needs and goals, including Psychodynamic Art Therapy, Humanistic Art Therapy and Group-Interactive Art Therapy model. I aspire to help promote Art Therapy in Egypt as well as spread awareness on mental health.
