I currently manage the Mainframe and AS/400 Systems Engineering Services Teams. I have craddle to grave resposibilities for these systems. This includes purchasing of hardware and software, budget accountability, management of staff, management of the availability, accountability of performance, acceptable business practices, audit practices, SOX compliance, maintenance practices, serviceability, hardware and software maintenance schedules, and customer satisfaction.

I have worked for what was once called International Harvestar, International Truck and Engine Corporation to Navistar for 20 years. I have always been in the Systems area having held numerous levels of responsibility. My current position is responsible for the cradle to grave accountability for all of the applications, software, and hardware of the mainframe and AS/400 systems at Navistar. We install, maintain, support, all of the operating system and outside vendor software associated with these systems. I maintain the budgets for these environments, plan for the next term and strategize for the upcoming years as well. Hardware and software purchases, negotiations, and continual monitoring are a must. Keeping our availability at 5 9's, our customers extrememly happy and management happy is the balance that we must keep.

Worked as an MVS systems programmer for Kraft Foods in Glenview Illinois. Did many other tasks for them. Worked on cosolidations to the main data center, special projects, etc.
