Sandra has over twenty-five years of experience in providing a range of risk, governance and strategy services to government, industry and community services organisations. She has considerable experience working with Boards, both as an advisor and NED for over 20 years. With a background in engineering, she also brings a broad range of industrial and project management expertise to the Riskwest team. From December 2012, Sandra has been a Partner in Riskwest, a specialist management consulting firm providing strategic risk-based consulting services to a broad range of corporate, government and community service organisations. Prior to 2013, Sandra spent 14 years as an independent management consultant and 12 years in a variety of project management and engineering roles across a range of industries including Power, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Oil and Gas.Sandra has extensive experience in the development and implementation of risk management and risk-based decision making frameworks and programs across all levels of an organisation, with a specific focus on “smart” risk-taking and effective controls assurance. Sandra specialises in working with Boards and Executive teams to develop a greater strategic understanding and awareness of the potential opportunities and threats facing organisations in the current climate of significant uncertainty and disruption. Sandra also the nominated Riskwest Partner acting as State Advisor to several major infrastructure projects, providing strategic risk advisory services to the Project Directors and joint venture teams.

Provided a range of risk-based consulting services to government and corporate clients. This included:• Advisory and training services to government boards, board committees and executive groups.• Options analysis and strategy development to deliver on project objectives. • SWOT analysis and risk-based strategy planning • Implementing tailored strategies and processes for the effective management and reporting of risk• Development of methodology and parameters for the appropriate measurement of risk• Risk-based evaluation of proposals, government acts, licences and contractual arrangements.• Delivery of an Adverse Event Analysis methodology to establish root causes and contributing factors of significant incidents. Whilst originally designed for WA Health, has successfully been applied to investigate critical business incidents.• Development and delivery of over 20 training seminars (60 – 100 delegates per session) covering different aspects of Strategic, Operational and Project Risk Management.• Client relationship management – client focussed solutions, building relationships, monitoring and feedback.• Facilitation of over 1000 workshops to identify, understand and manage risks at a the strategic, operational and project level..
