- Investigated brain network alterations in patients with movement disorders affecting speech production (e.g. laryngeal dystonia, Parkinson’s disease). - Built structural connectomes using graph theoretical analysis and diffusion MRI.- Received the Young Scientist Development Award from the Harvard Brain Initiative in recognition of efforts on deep brain stimulation data analysis (assisted in pre-operative planning of deep brain simulation by using MRI/tractography for 2 tremor patients, improving their symptoms significantly as a result).- Published results in Human Brain Mapping (5.038 Impact factor) and presented results at an international conference for conceptualizing and revising a pathophysiological model of focal dystonia (disorder of both functional and structural connectomes).- Organized a workshop jointly with MIT and Utrecht University entitled “Bridging Social Sciences and AI for Understanding Child Behavior” (2020 and 2021) at the International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI).- Received Best Poster Design Award at the Boston Speech Motor Control Symposium for investigating the effects of sex on the neural correlates of speech control (using structural MRI); published in Frontiers in Neuroscience.
