Team Lead for business critical (Tier1) application supporting supply chain management, replenishment and load balancing of the containerboard packaging rollstock distribution system.Upon acquisition of Weyerhaeuser's Containerboard Packaging and Recycling division by International Paper in 2008, key member of project that successfully transitioned >80 plants and 9 mills to the International Paper Operating Model (SAP). This has saved the company significant money by consolidating systems and reducing duplication.Led activities to perform major system upgrades of server hardware, operating system, databases and the oracle application server. Servers were upgraded to HP-UX Itanuim architecture and Oracle 10g. Project lead for multiple priority business initiatives to add functionality and improve productivity, including invoicing in metric units, internal demand planning interfaces, interfaces to SAP account payable and accounts receivable components, implementation of market-based containerboard pricing model.

First as a contractor(6 years) and then as an employee(7 years), key leader and project team member of the application group that developed, enhanced and maintained a custom supply chain management sales and logistics system for the Containerboard Packaging division. This division was acquired by International Paper in 2008.As the lead business analyst, worked with business leaders to help identify and prioritize value propositions to increase efficiency and productivity through enhancements to our custom sales and logistics applications system.Performed requirements analysis, database design, module design/development/testing; provided production and user support, user documentation and training. Authored requirements, functional and design specifications.Led and managed project development efforts for many priority business initiatives over the years, including automating interfaces to SAP accounting systems to gain efficiencies and reduce manual work; automating interfaces to boxplants to enhance product flow logic and capabilities; centralizing accounts payable functionality to reduce headcount at individual plant locations.Developed and maintained configuration management processes and procedures to ensure stable development, test and production environments.Led several product upgrade efforts over the life of the system to keep hardware and software versions current (HP-UX, Oracle rdbms, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Forms/Reports). Application architecture utilized HP-UX O/S to host Oracle rdbms 10g(250+ tables) and Oracle Application Server 10g to deliver Oracle Forms and Reports in a web-deployed environment. Application modules included Unix Shell scripts(200+), c and pro*c modules(100), sql and pl/sql scripts(150+), database packages and triggers(200), as well as Oracle Forms(210+) and Reports(250+).

On assignment with US West New Vector Group in Bellevue, Washington, my responsibilities included design and implementation of an Order Processing system for use by the US West Cellular organization. We installed a system to maintain cellular phone inventory in a UNIX Oracle database and coordinate with upline mainframe (IBM IMS database) systems. I designed and implemented the User Interface as well as background processes and reports. I was also responsible for the optimization and tuning of the various Oracle applications.

Selected Accomplishments:* Designed and implemented UNIX shell scripts and Oracle SQL scripts to automate data extraction and report formatting for airplane wire harness database system. The data was automatically extracted, formatted and sent via FTP utility to the IBM mainframe for integration into corporate database. Hardcopy reports were generated and automatically printed in conjunction with data extraction. This project entailed use of Oracle SQLFORMS v3.0 as user interface on HP-UX platform. * Designed, developed and supported software and relational database for a large-scale aerospace CIM project. Specialized in order release processing utilizing client/server architecture and Oracle relational database products/tools. Programming language used was C.* Served as technical lead (6-8 people) and main customer interface for key subsystem within large-scale aerospace CIM project.* Extensive experience with optimization and tuning of Oracle relational database applications.
