Shift SupervisorStarbucks Aug 2017 - Jan 2020Seattle, Wa, Us"Fast paced work environment" and "handling multiple priorities under pressure" have perhaps never been put to better use than describing working a shift at one of the busiest stores in the district. I began my work at Starbucks as a barista and was promoted within 6 months to shift supervisor, due to my ability to learn quickly, manage people, and remain calm under stress. Budgeting, stock inventory and ordering and cash handling were some of the technical aspects of the position, but the majority of the job was customer service. -

Program CoordinatorLnesc Jun 2018 - Jul 2019Washington, Dc, UsI coordinated the Science Corps and STEM Explorers programs in Texas, which are funded by Shell and GM. These funded programs benefit underprivileged teens in middle and high schools, encouraging minority and female students to get into the STEM programs through field trips, after school programs, career talks, and more. I loved getting to see and share their success stories through photos and social media. I was also responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting the program data in order to show our sponsors how well the programs were doing and work for more funding. I have had the pleasure of attending the same training the teachers received on the NEED curriculum, which introduces students to complex ideas around topics such as energy, robotics, and natural sciences, and how science affects our daily lives. In addition, I worked with the rest of the national office team to plan events for the LULAC National Convention, one of the largest Latino rights conventions in the US, and the Washington Youth Leadership Seminar, an annual four-day leadership development program that brings together Latino leaders from across the US and Puerto Rico to Washington, DC and immerses them in a specific public policy area. Students undergo leadership training, advocacy training, and peer bonding exercises, resulting in a tight-knit group of leaders engaged and energized to make a difference in the Latino community. -
