Sandra is committed to supporting people in building liberating lives and communities - starting with herself. She shares the key lessons from her own healing and spiritual journey that has allowed her to shift from acting primarily from her individual and collective trauma from systemic oppression to acting primarily from her grounded and whole self. She's keenly aware that this healing journey was only made possible by being in relationships and communities that supported these values and practices and saw her as a whole person with inherent self-worth. So she is committed to sharing what has worked for her and others - so that they may become the person the dream of being on a faster timeline, with less pain, and with greater ease.

Board MemberBrown Boi Project Jul 2013 - Jul 2022I'm the board member of the incredibly innovative organization - Brown Boi Project. It's a community of masculine of center womyn, men, two-spirit people, transmen, and our allies committed to transforming our privilege of masculinity, gender, and race into tools for achieving racial and gender justice. BBP's approach to gender transformative learning builds an environment where mental health resources are de-stigmatized, new models for masculinity emerge, and boys of color are able to develop an empowering sense of self and also reduce the levels of aggression and sexual pressure exerted on girls and the kind of gender policing that perpetuates violence against LGBT youth of color.
