As an active member of a working board, I help steward this dynamic land trust, focused on conserving critical habitat and waterways in Washington state. Chief writer of the organization's latest strategic plan, I guided the Capitol Land Trust toward more inclusive goals in environmental education and consultation with indigenous stakeholders.

As a first-time candidate and rural Democrat, I built a coalition of conservation groups, educators, tribal leaders, local employers and community leaders to advocate for rural communities. While we didn't win this time, the campaign is seen as a strong example for future success in this legislative district.
