Managed a team of support personnel, which aided me in meeting publication deadlines in a timely manner. Worked directly with developing advertising campaigns for real estate companies, real estate agents and builders in “Real Estate Weekly” magazine.

Launched, executed, produced, sold and handled advertising marketing promotions for established accounts. Handled three territories. Member of initial team that developed the “Home Guide,” a real estate magazine with an initial distribution of 92,000. Devised “Real Estate Marketing Guide,” which described all of the newspaper’s advertising products so that our clients were able to make informed decisions regarding which program best suited their needs, the “Guide” ultimately increased incoming revenue. Took the initiative to develop procedural forms, which vastly improved efficiency and time management for the advertising staff.

Responsible for hunting and acquiring new automotive, apartment, boating, mobile home and real estate accounts in a geographic area outside of the Daily Press/Times Herald circulation. Originally assigned to South Side of Hampton Roads but later South of the James was added to territory, which was expanded again in 1990 to include the Peninsula, where the paper was located. Upon generating a proven track record, an established list was assigned and the need to be a continuous hunter became secondary. Worked as a liaison between the marketing department and clients developing joint functions to increase readership for the paper and traffic to the client's location.

Developed own territory within a 90-mile radius, initiated and followed through on leads. Sold corporate memberships and advertising in BBB's annual Consumer Resource Book. Worked in the capacity of a hunter to solicit business.
