Adopted into newly created position focused on the development of a purchasing team with oversight of product promotions and category management. Supervision over two direct reports and 15 indirect reports. Carved strong brand positioning at the shelf level with updated signage and thematic promotions.- Created a coding tree for data management to optimize system reporting on categories and sales per square foot. Designed visual planogram tool for product and category management.- Introduced a mercantile category which grew to over 4% of store sales in one year, exceeding the sales of three other existing categories.
