Wharton Social Impact Initiative leverages Wharton’s strengths to develop and promote business strategies for a better world. Through research, consulting, hands-on training, and outreach, we are advancing the science and practice of social impact.Sandi Hunt manages work including Impact Entrepreneurship and Investing in Women, and supports projects at the intersection of those themes and WSII’s other focus areas. Additionally, she led the launch of the Turner Social Impact Society and the Penn Social Impact Consortium, both aimed at building and supporting diverse communities across Penn that are dedicated to social impact.

The Wharton Social Impact Initiative (WSII) harnesses the knowledge and creativity of the Wharton community to investigate, create, and implement solutions to enduring social problems. WSII supports students, faculty, and alumni in the drive to develop and use business strategies and knowledge to enhance the greater good of the local community, the nation, and the world.

Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to creating self-sufficiency within the homeless population by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength & self-esteem. Responsible for managing operations for organization, including: management of staff; project management for build of SalesForce CRM; hiring and training of national and local roles. Executive Team member reporting to Founder & CEO.

Managed organizational expansion with chapter growth to Dallas, Indianapolis and Atlanta, including hiring and fundraising efforts. Managed hiring and supported launch fundraising for organization in new markets. Managed HR and other operational responsibilities for organization nationally.

Worked with Founder & CEO to build growth strategy for organization; built tools and processes for taking organization to new markets; launched Boston and Chicago chapters, including hiring staff and fundraising for launch markets, focused specifically on sponsorship efforts with corporate partners.

Team member and leader on several technology implementations, operations assignments and business process initiatives for national health insurance companies. Responsibilities included designing new business processes, creating project deliverables, monitoring project status, proactively identifying and mitigating issues and risks, leading meetings, and collaborating with teams across various departments, companies and countries.
