My mission is to provide alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services of the highest administrative, ethical and legal caliber so disputes can be resolved in a cost-saving, fair and reasonable manner in a user-friendly forum.I work with Attorney's through ADR, particularly, in mediation and arbitration, as well as conducting post verdict consultations and serving as an expert witness in a variety of litigation areas.Through Mediation I resolve cases outside the court system, faster, more economically and less stressful. During my 30 years on the civil trial bench, I have resolved hundreds of cases by accurate evaluations, thinking outside the box for creative solutions to often insurmountable problems.Binding Arbitration is a faster and less expensive method to resolve a conflict that is not ripe for mediation or settlement. There are often high/low limits decided prior to arbitration. This allows expert witnesses to testify by written reports only while plaintiffs and defendants can have their day in court in a more friendly forum without risk of total defeat or an expensive appeal. My Post Verdict Consultations consist of constellation of services that are available to practitioners during the post verdict stage of a proceeding. They are intended to enhance the advocacy and improve the results during this crucial stage of litigation In view of the deference given the trial judge by the appellate courts, dedication of more resources to this aspect of a significant case is clearly warranted. As an Expert Witness, I have written opinions in abuse of process (dragonetti cases) and legal malpractice cases which settled after my opinions were received without the necessity of a trial. Because of my 30 years of trial experience dealing with experts in a variety of litigation specialties, I am able to offer strong, credible opinions that will withstand cross examination and persuade juries.Want to discuss any issues? Unlike the court system, each case submitted to DRI is given the priority and individualized attention it deserves. Private dispute resolution provides participants with a high degree of control over resolution of their dispute. The majority of cases submitted to DRI are resolved through the standard alternative dispute resolution processes of arbitration and mediation. When required to satisfy specific or unique needs of the disputants, DRI utilizes hybrids of these processes or custom designs procedures that are flexible and individualized. This specialized approach insures that the best process available for a particular dispute is utilized. DRI contrasts markedly from the judicial system where all cases are generally handled in the same fashion. DRI insures that the "forum fits the fuss." Show less -
