Managed transition from internal product development to external Asia contract manufacturing facilities by defining wafer probe, package assembly, and package test instructions in the Manufacturing Specifications Database (MSD) for all new products in the Storage Peripheral Division. Performed subsequent system updates to achieve cost and cycle time reductions. • Achieved 100% on-time database readiness to support introduction of over 3300 new, complex Storage products. Annually, this division had 450 active products, $594M revenue, and 378Mu device shipments.• Engaged daily with subcontractors to provide instruction, product disposition, and problem resolution.• Instituted a formal process to deactivate end-of-life Storage products including customer notification, system removal, and data archive to maintain manufacturing database efficiency. Deactivated a total of 5400 products (80% reduction).• Developed training material on 14 technology transfer topics, hosted 22 training sessions with 225 engineers, and mentored Asia team in support of company transfer of engineering duties from US.
