Dr. Sandra Jeter is a dynamic individual whose diverse roles are interconnected in their aim to enhance the well-being and success of people. As an assistant professor at Howard University's School of Social Work, Dr. Jeter's research takes an intersectional approach, exploring the link between mental health and academic success among Black students, focusing on gender differences. She is currently the PI of a multi-million dollar grant focused on increasing the number of social workers of color employed in DC Public Schools. This academic inquiry is complemented by her work as a therapist, where she employs Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals and couples, further extending her commitment to mental health and personal growth.
