I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist by background, having qualified in Portugal, however I’ve been working in the NHS since 2009. Over the years, I have worked in several NHS organizations and settings, but I gained special interest and expertise in the management of the Older Person in the community as part of integrated multi-professional teams. I’m currently undertaking the role of Service Policy, Design and implementation within the Community Care team at NHS England. Prior to this I had a role as Transformation Programme Manager supporting the Community Transformation Programme at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT). Between February 2021 and August 2022, I was the first non-medical Board Affiliate (BA) for the BHT Board of Directors. As part of the BA role I have co-led the multidisciplinary Trainee Leadership Board and was a member of several Committees. In 2020, I completed a post graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice in Leadership, and this has enabled me to further lean into collaborative, inclusive and compassionate leadership. I’m passionate about Integrated, Proactive and Preventative Health and Social Care. More recently, I’ve been drawn into the importance of reducing health inequalities and I believe quality improvement methodologies are vital to address some of our operational challenges. I’m a curious person and value hugely my personal and professional development. Ultimately, I want to make a positive difference to the lives of the population I serve.
