As an Evaluation Assistant for the Decision Support Team, Evaluation and Research for Addiction and Mental Health, Calgary zone, I am privileged to work with multiple programs in both Child & Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health Psychiatry as well as Addiction and Mental Health Adult programs. My work includes: system wide implementation, program development, evaluation and research, quality improvement, focus groups, data analysis, reporting and knowledge translation including writing grants and papers and presenting at conferences. Current active projects: - Evaluating the implementation of the ACEs Questionnaire for all Alberta Health Services’ Child and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health programs (CAAMHPP) in the Calgary zone. - Supporting the Adult Trauma Focus Committee to establish best-practices for trauma informed care in Calgary’s adult mental health programs. - Designer and developer of the Canadian version of Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) for both children and adolescent, and adult portfolios in the Calgary Zone. - Conducting implementation research regarding the use of Therapist Assisted Online Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Previous projects: - CAAMHPP’s review of their inpatient seclusion and restraint practices (i.e., physical, chemical and mechanical restraints).- Evaluation of Cognitive Behaviour Social Skills Training (CBSST) across mental health services in the Calgary zone.- AHS Psychosocial Disaster Recovery Evaluation following the 2013 Calgary flood.

Providing ethical reviews for projects across Alberta to support and guide teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and conflicts of interest prior to project implementation. Project roles include reviewing project proposals (e.g., objectives, methodology, survey designs, data collection and storage procedures) and providing specific and feasible strategies to enhance project viability and mitigate any/all ethical concerns.
