With over 11 years of experience in the mining industry, I am a passionate and skilled technical services manager who oversees the planning, designing, and scheduling of underground and open pit operations at Freda Rebecca Gold Mine. My mission is to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mining practices that meet the company's strategic objectives and environmental standards. I have an MBA and a BSc in Mining Engineering, and I have developed expertise in ventilation, resource planning, and economic evaluation of mining blocks.As the technical services manager, I lead a team of engineers and technicians who produce practical and innovative mine designs, including infrastructure and development of mining blocks over the life of mine period. I also produce and maintain rolling production schedules, analyse and optimise ventilation systems, and undertake rigorous economic evaluations of individual mining blocks. I use various Datamine software packages, such as Studio OP, Studio UG, MSO, NPV Scheduler, EPS and Stopecad, to deliver high-quality and accurate results. I have successfully contributed to the achievement of forecast targets, the improvement of current design concepts, and the preparation of comprehensive planning and executive committee reports. I have also demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as I interface between technical services and mining department, and monitor day to day operational issues.
