Perform product & design improvements on high voltage switchgear, including SF6 and solid dielectric. Design and validate prototypes through the use of rapid prototyping, assembling prototypes for test and design optimization. Analyze kinematic mechanisms for failure points to improve manufacturability, reduce warranty liability, and reduce field service liability. Setup, perform, coordinate, and report on various testing, including mechanical life, shipping vibration, high voltage withstand, high current temperature rise.Respond to customer field service incidents requiring immediate attention at customer's site. Perform field inspection of products to determine state and recommend action items.Perform primary and secondary review of multi-level product structures and drawings, including tolerance stack-up, GD&T verification, thermal analysis, low-level electrical analysis, material compatibility, and internal standards compliance.

Responsible for continuous improvement of products ranging from 480V to 38kV and from 600A through 5000A, continuous improvements in the production cell, providing customers and representatives with product, technical and logistic support, and major project management, coordinating delivery of product within critical timeframes. Also responsible for New Product Development for product add-ons and accessories extending to new product ranges in new markets. Perform interdisciplinary work ranging from legal review, accounting/inventory control, logistics coordination and manufacturing planning.

Maintain accurate records and prepare methods of correcting erroneous records of electric distribution and transmission infrastructure; track the progression of various types of improvement projects across Northern Indiana; maximize income from third-party attachments on facilities.

Perform regular maintenance and repair on fleet of mobile tire service turbo-diesel trucks; perform installation of tires and wheels on customer vehicles ranging from golf carts to front loaders; provide exceptional customer care by responding to customer specifications, needs and feedback; organize inventory located at the main headquarters for maximum efficiency and ease of identification.
