As the chairperson of the Engineering Student Council, I served on the following committees within the engineering faculty:1. Engineering Faculty Board2. Engineering Faculty Programme Committee (Postgraduate Representative)

As an Executive Committee member of the Academic Affairs Council at Stellenbosch University, a Doctoral Candidate and the Chairperson of the Engineering Faculty's Engineering Student Council, I was appointed as a member of the Academic Affairs Council Constitutional Review Committee in 2022. We redrafted and reviewed the Academic Affairs Council Constitution and it was ratified and approved before the end of our leadership term.

The Institutional Forum is a statutory body of the SU institution who serves an advisory role to the SU Council. I was elected by the Academic Affairs Council to serve on the Institutional Forum on behalf of the council.

The Maties Promoting Animal Welfare Society is a student society aimed at promoting the welfare of animals, educating members about animal welfare and exposing members to various animal welfare volunteer opportunities in the surrounding area.As a member of the society's executive committee, I assisted with event planning, fundraising, liaising with the Animal Welfare Society of Stellenbosch and volunteered at the shelter frequently.

As member of the Postgraduate Student Council, I served as a Departmental Safety Representative.

I assisted with departmental undergraduate and postgraduate sample analyses using various analytical techniques – including gas chromatography, atomic absorption spectroscopy, speed of sound and density analyses, rheology analyses. Developed skills include standard preparation, maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment and general sample preparation for a variety of analyses techniques.
