Teacher and researcher in the fields of civil engineering, town planning and materials science, in an excellent school of engineering : INSA (National Institute of Applied Sciences) based in Lyon - France, which since its creation in 1957, at the initiative of Gaston Berger, trains humanist engineers, I have chosen to alternate with experiences in foreign countries. This is how I spent more than 12 years in Vietnam, India and Japan, for technical, academic and scientific cooperation. When I returned from Japan at the end of August 2022, I chose to take a break, to take time to think on how it will make sense for me to occupy my next professional years.I am now settled in a beautiful little place in France : Lot-et-Garonne, and I give some of my time to the ecosystem tera.coop, a full-scale experiment of territorial development in a rural area. It aims to build a cooperative ecosystem through a systemic approach, to relocate production, reduce our impact on the environment, deploy a local citizen currency, rethink the distribution of monetary value with the final aim of an unconditional income guaranteed to each by local production.I hope that this complex project, based on an ambitious business model, monitored by a scientific committee and already supported by several kinds of partners, will be a model good enough to study its spreading and adapt it to other places, cultures and territories...
