Principal Substation Automation Engineer
Current- Lead of the Substation Automation Core Group responsible for design, implementation, procurement and support to construction and commissioning of the Electrical SCADA system using several communication protocols including DNP, IEC 61850, Modbus, Irig-B, IEEE 1588- Discipline Lead and Area Lead for electrical design for various phases of a project including conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design.- Development of Power-System design and application of protective schemes- Preparation of project proposals which involve estimation, quoting, and tendering- Preparation of technical specification and bid evaluation of major electrical equipment such as MV substations, GIS Switchgears, Transformers, NGRs, MCCs, Cable Bus, Diesel Generators, UPS, etc.- Elaboration of system studies such as load calculation, short circuits, motor starting, arc flash, grounding system and protection coordination- Development of schematics diagrams for Switchgear, motor starters, drives and complex interlocking schemes including interfaces with SCADA (DCS/PLC) system.- Implementation of protective schemes by programming multifunction protection relays
