Sandro Castelli nasceu em 1973 em São Paulo, Brasil, onde vive e trabalha como ilustrador freelancer. Formou-se em uma escola de arte voltada para histórias em quadrinhos e ilustração. Complementou seus estudos com diversos cursos livres nas áreas de perspectiva, caligrafia, modelo vivo, etc. Colaborou regularmente com algumas das mais importantes publicações brasileiras: jornal Folha de S. Paulo, editoras Abril (Veja, Playboy, Superinteressante), Globo (Época, Galileu, Criativa), Martins Fontes, Ática, Saraiva, FTD, etc. Clientes institucionais incluem FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo), e MinCT (Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia), além de diversas ONGs. Sua produção internacional compreende capas e imagens para revistas como Apex Digest e Shimmer Magazine e editoras como Kensington Books e Subterranean Press. Foi vencedor do 3º Concurso Folha de Ilustração e Humor, na categoria Ilustração Científica (2006). Expôs obras no FIQ (Festival Internacional de Quadrinhos, BH, 2003) e na Mostra Front (SP, 2003), na exibição Ilustrando em Revista - FAAP (SP, 2005) e na exposição Vontade de Saber (SP, 2008), entre outras. • Sandro Castelli was born in 1973 in São Paulo, Brazil, where he lives and works as a freelance illustrator. He graduated from an art school focused on comics and illustration, and complemented his studies with several free courses in the areas of perspective, calligraphy, life drawing, etc. He contributed regularly to some of the most important Brazilian publications: Folha de S.
