Chief Executive Officer
CurrentReporting to and collaborating with the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for: Working with the Board in developing and implementing an enhanced strategic plan for OSPE (with clearly defined goals and objectives). Developing yearly business plans aligned with the strategic plan for approval by the Board—with appropriate success measures for monitoring and delivering results. Growing the membership of the organization by creating compelling value for members (through a strong value proposition). Building strong strategic alliances with other engineering organizations, related associations, with government officials (elected and civil servants), with relevant industry leaders, and with post-secondary institutions. Identifying service needs within the scope of the organization’s mandate and ensuring efficient and responsible delivery of programs and products by integrating marketing, advocacy, member services and affinity partnerships. Enhancing the organization’s overall branding and positioning as the “Voice of Ontario’s Engineers”. Providing leadership, direction, coaching and counselling to staff in order to garner high quality work in a collaborative service-oriented, member-focused team environment and grow staff capabilities. Facilitating the recruitment of expert volunteers for the organization’s committees, task forces and working groups.
