As an employee of Austin Peay State University, I would collect data and entry into a database. This position required that I inventory students’ files, collect date, and enter data into File Maker Pro. To accomplish this, I had to communicate and efficiently collaborate with faculty and staff for the date research and to create necessary reports. With that, I collaborated with the Faculty and staff to assist them in learning the web based portfolio and assessment tool Livetext. A second position I held during this time, I maintained a computer lab for the School of Education. My duties included assisting students with basic software questions and maintaining the lab during working hours.

As a Large Market Implementation Analyst, my position required that I assist vendors, physicians groups, and other healthcare institutions in sending medical claims electronically to WebMD. In this process, I guided the client through what mode of communication they were sending claims. This could include FTP through the internet, Internet, or direct via modem. Once I received the first test file, I mapped the file and tested the file. I worked with NFS, EMCDS, MCDS, and ANSI file formats. Then, I communicated to the clients the needed steps to make a batch of claims production worthy. Once an account was structured, they added sites and the process repeated. The clients looked to me for accurate and speedy information. I developed and enjoyed positive relationships with my clients.
