Chairperson
CurrentPresident of the Triana Area Medical Fund created as part of the DDT lawsuit involving the Tennessee River in the early eighties. The TAMF, Inc. supported more than 1300 participants. I was appointed to the Board of Directors at the age of 24, by the President of the Whitesburg Commercial Fishermen's Association. I initially wanted to represent my community and those who had lost their jobs due to the desecration of the commercial fishing industry, including the loss of my family's Fish & Seafood market. However, after joining the board I saw the effects on the multi County communities first hand. I then began working directly with participants offering health fairs and helping with a Breast Cancer study funded and published by the National Cancer Institute. I was eventually elected as Vice-Chairman and then Chairman the next year. I have been Chairperson for over ten years.
