President of the Triana Area Medical Fund created as part of the DDT lawsuit involving the Tennessee River in the early eighties. The TAMF, Inc. supported more than 1300 participants. I was appointed to the Board of Directors at the age of 24, by the President of the Whitesburg Commercial Fishermen's Association. I initially wanted to represent my community and those who had lost their jobs due to the desecration of the commercial fishing industry, including the loss of my family's Fish & Seafood market. However, after joining the board I saw the effects on the multi County communities first hand. I then began working directly with participants offering health fairs and helping with a Breast Cancer study funded and published by the National Cancer Institute. I was eventually elected as Vice-Chairman and then Chairman the next year. I have been Chairperson for over ten years.

Experience in all areas of manufacturing, including planning, purchasing (including finding new vendors and maintaining relationships to purchase raw materials including plastics), customer service, cost analysis, master scheduler for shipping and receiving (more than 50% international), and technical support. Focused on product development, including research and design for new products composed of galvanized steel and wire and logistics of manufacturing new and modified parts. Proficient at drawing, reproducing, and maintaining blueprints created in AutoCAD. Responsible for product release to manufacturing plant based on customer requirements and contracts, including prototyping and testing of same equipment to ensure viability and longevity with product design adhering to Lean Design principles. Creation and maintenance of product list and catalog summaries in Microsoft Excel. Providing parts cost estimates to sales and customer service. Designing and publishing product brochures, and related advertising media. Direct liaison between Engineering and Maintenance to develop and supplement new tooling and die processes and equipment. Worked with Shipping and Receiving departments on a daily basis coordinating product deliveries with job sites and maintaining ISPM15 standards.
