Having worked for over 20 years in education, with a specific focus on wellbeing and pastoral care, I am passionate about raising the awareness of children’s mental health. I offer courses and training for parents and teachers to support children with mental health issues. I aim to provide teachers and parents with strategies and tools to be able to support young people struggling with mental ill health.The courses for teachers range from online CPD training to face to face school inset training. These courses are suitable for any teachers wanting to have a better understanding of mental health, pastoral leads, heads of year, head teachers & deputy heads. I also run workshops for children in schools, teaching them about mental health, mindfulness, calming strategies and more. These workshops can be tailored to all age ranges and all key stages.The parent courses are tailored to help parents have a better understanding of how the adolescent brain works and to provide practical strategies for coping with a child struggling with any common mental health issues.
