As a single mom with 2 kids and a high school diploma was always looking at my options. The first one was to go back to school. I went every weekend I didn't have my kids and worked a full and part time job. It was important to work in the field I chose so while I worked in electronics full time, I worked on the weekends I did not have my children. I started working with those who had a DWI and worked in intervention. Tough crowd, but it lead me to a full time job working as a counselor with dual diagnosed patients. My work paid off. Still a single parent, I was working in a field I loved FULL time and working part time in retail. I have never been afraid of hard work. I soon worked my way to creating and running a rehabilitation program. Every second was worth it. Before I knew it I received job offers in areas I never thought of. I felt so successful. From there I received an opportunity to switch gears and create new challenges. I learned all about interchangeable skills. I started working with families of Alzheimer's patients to include sales in assisted living and learning about the disease. I loved what I was doing. I did this for a good many years and got very tired. Again, I was working in a tough crowd. I decided to go back to school (again) and work in Real Estate. I had gone from being in my late 20's with 2 little boys to being in my 50's with grown, successful sons and a new husband. But I wasn't done. It came to pass that my husband was hired by a company many miles from my home. Not sure where I fit in the world I again recreated myself and started back in retail. This time though I owned the store. I was really good at this and loved working with college kids in my store. Unfortunately, in the south the streets roll up in November and don't unroll until May so after two years I packed up my shop and sat back for a bit figuring out who I was going to be next. It didn't take long and I built a new business selling on Amazon. At one point I was selling more than 1000 items on line. I loved this! It has been 10 years and I still have my shop but it is much smaller. I found out the thing I loved most was my home and family. When the opportunity came my husband and I packed up and came back to New Hampshire. I will never move away again. So after coming back my choice was simple. I went back to Real Estate, back to Verani Realty. What is my biggest skill? It's to make my success. Tenacity. Being willing to learn All the in between things are just stuff
