I was in charge of blood drives. I had to provide all pertinent documents and approve all equipment after QC. At the end of the drive, I downloaded all data onto a disc and was responsible for all the blood, equipment, and disc to be loaded on truck. I also worked at one of the donor centers twice a week where I was in charge.

I admit patients to the center for procedures. I start intravenous therapy for sedation. I assist the doctors in the OR with biopsies, polypectomies, dilitations, fine needle aspirations and sclerotherapy. I also recover patients in PACU.

I triaged patients that called the office. I monitored patients PT/INR levels and adjusted patients Coumadin/Warfarin according to protocol. I taught patients about Coumadin/Warfarin and its side effects. I consented patients for cardiac procedures. I called patients and reviewed test reults of various tests (nuclear stress test, echocardiograms, and holter monitors). I set patients up with trans-telephonic monitors, holter monitors and performed blood pressure checks. I called refills to the pharmacy. I scheduled patients for appiontments.
