It is hard to describe what I do because of the number of hats worn. I finally settled on the title Community Activist. I love our community, New Martinsville, and our region. I want us to be the place where people want to live, work, and play. We have so many natural strengths and resources that can be tapped into to provide job opportunities for generations to come. Our strengths are our people and our natural resources. What we lack is an integrated approach to growth and economic development. Through the Blueprint Communities program we are finally working on solutions to some issues that have plagued us since the economic downturn in the 1980's. I look forward to being a small part of the solution.
