About Sandy Johnson

I am a Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care nurse that possesses a propensity for travel, insatiable thirst for knowledge and an overwhelming desire to be of service to others. I have been nursing for nearly 21 years. I am a fifth generation nurse, I guess you could say it’s in the blood! During my career I have had the fortunate opportunity to work in various kinds of Intensive Care Units (CCU, MICU, CTICU, SICU, Neuro, and Trauma) across this beautiful country but most recently (for the last 10 plus years) I have been a full time nurse at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, in the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit. At this institution I have been nurtured to grow personally and professionally and I have been able to hone my skills as a leader, teacher, mentor and clinician. Thanks to the support of my family, work family, and friends am finally I was able to successfully attain my goal of becoming an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner!
