After working in retail for nearly 25 years...I was definitely ready for a change.I started off as a part-time csr, which I did for a little over a year. A position came up as assistant to the president of our office, and I accepted with a little hesitation. I had no idea at the time how very much about the industry I was oblivious to, but taking the position was the best thing I could have done. I learned quickly, and my boss was very patient and so willing to teach me, that it became second nature.I continued at that position until this past year, when again I was presented with another opportunity to grow in the field. I am currently a account manager, where my duties include looking after a relatively large book of business and taking care of these clients. Being in retail for so long, gave me an advantage here, as I am quite comfortable talking with people. I try to treat them all as if I have known them all my life...like I would want to be treated. I try very hard to reply to customers who call or email as quickly as I can. I know that finding coverage is easier than ever now, and I believe going over and above makes all the difference when it comes to retaining clientele. I truly love my job and look forward to the challenges that come on the daily. Show less
