    I have spent the past 7 years as the Purchasing Manager for SpecPro, Inc at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Baraboo, WI. During the last 4 years of this position, I assumed the additional responsibility of Accounts Payable Manager. Prior to my taking the position with SpecPro, the Department of the Army had placed SpecPro under a cure notice, all purchasing was to cease until measures could be taken to improve the process. Upon hire, I was given ninety days from date of hire to prepare for a government audit. The Army’s expectations were met and exceeded, the cure notice was rescinded, and all subsequent annual audits from both the Army and the Quality Control Team were successful.My responsibilities involved all aspects of purchasing from direct product purchase, to negotiated service and subcontract work. The diversity of purchases ranged from paperclips, dump trucks, 9mm Berettas and GC/MC (gas chromatography–mass spectrometry) to heavy equipment rental, GIS (geographic information system) support subcontract, and landfill construction bid contracts.
