The past 18 years, I have served as an educator from teaching at different preschools to an elementary school, that I have been at for the past 9 years. I started as a brand new elementary school teacher, teaching first grade to becoming the grade-level team lead. In this role, I worked closely with my team that consisted of 12 teachers, most of them brand new, in which I supported, guided, and coached them. I collaborated with the leadership team (principal and assistant principals) to direct their vision of the school and team down to my teachers. I also analyze my student's data and data from the rest of the 1st grade classes to recognize any patterns in students learning to ensure that growth is accomplished in math and reading by the end of the school year.
