As a design consultant at Bassett Home Furnishings I have the privilege of working with clients to explore there design dreams, challenges, and options. I work with them to create a home environment that is not only beautiful and functional but is a place of retreat. everyone should love the environment they live in. Whether it is one piece or a whole room makeover it is my desire to fulfill my clients desires!

I meet with customers to determine their needs, wants and desires in purchasing a new or used vehicle. I helped them through the decision making process including financing issues. I work to find the best situation considering all of their needs. I am responsible to sell with minimal supervision, persuasively and confidently presenting the presentation to potential buyers. Quickly building great rapport with the customer, determining the customers concerns in order to help them through the decision making process. Follow-up skills are a primary focus in this industry. Both in following up on outstanding leads and following up with customers after the purchase and gaining client trust in order to procure referrals. Utilizing the sales tools and following the procedures of the sales plan is vital. Constant learning and training in product knowledge and sales techniques are on-going.

Working with people to create a wonderful home environment is very rewarding. When someone come home from a long day at work they deserve a place they can feel comfortable in. Also it should be a welcome gathering place for the important people in their lives. This is the environment I was privileged to help create while working in the furniture industry. I met with customers to help them determine what they want in their home and to help them achieve those goals. When your passion and your job meet together that is a beautiful thing. I found my passion in helping people achieve their home environment desires. I was able to positively and credibly influence and direct people into design and buying decisions that would best meet their goals. I was privileged to recommend solutions and overcome challenges in their home environment. I sought to create a functional and beautiful space for each client. Building relationships quickly in order to gain trust in their home was a vital part of this career. I was responsible to meet sales goals on a monthly basis and quarterly basis. I attended constant training in order to better my sales techniques and product knowledge as well as sought out additional training in order to improve my knowledge of design. I also had the privilege of being on the management training team and taking an active part in that training at the store level. It is easy when you truly believe in a company to find personal success in what you are doing and I found that at La-Z-Boy.
