Managing and leading a team responsible including managing and monitoring work flows, data quality in accordance with Trust Policies, constantly reviewing processes.Managing, developing and reviewing an induction programme for all new starters – over the last 12 months this has been around 90 staff coming into the Patient Services Centre including agency, As and When, Bank Staff and finally new staff to the acquired areas.Manage my teams performance and that of the new starters by way of 1-1, appraisals and regular reviews to enable me to support and provide development where needed, building working relationships at all levels within the PSC and Trust.Manage and assist in recruitment, terminations and contract changes. Manage staff absenteeism, annual leave using the Healthroster and ESR and along with all other aspects of Human Resources. Provide Team Leaders with support to ensure that they manage their HR issues and be responsible for ensuring that end of month Healthroster (formally Maps) is ready for submission to Payroll deadlines.Taking the lead in staff education by identifying that all staff in the Patient Services Centre are up to date with Statutory and Mandatory Training and assisting and supporting other training needs when identified by individual staff members.Working with the Patient Services Centre Data Quality lead delivering bite size training to all current colleagues following audit work and analysing areas where additional training is needed. Currently focusing on the duplication of referrals and organising refresher training and telephone call handling techniques. Lead the Patient Services Centre validations for access targets for Outpatients. Ensuring that the reporting is completed in a timely manner for feedback to the Trust and external stakeholders including Department of Health.Maintaining spreadsheets, providing weekly updates, adhoc reports

Ensuring that the Care Group meets the access targets as defined by the Department of Health for both Inpatients and Outpatients, showing sound knowledge of national and local access targets.Maintaining Data Quality and undertaking data validation, interpreting and analysing information and producing concise reports for action/information. Needing strong experience and knowledge of internal and Department of Health policies and proceedures.Manage the commissioning of Prior Approval and Early Notifications and Individual Funding requests for certain treatments for childre in accordance with guidelines laid down by Primary Care Trusts. Working closely with clinicians to ensure that the best outcome for the patient is achieved.Liaising with Trust commissioning team and Primary Care Trusts ensuring that any extra information required was submitted to aid the decision making process. To attend management and participate insenior team management meetings including Trust Delivery Group and Theatre Utlisation Meetings as representative of the Care Group Manager.Directly line manage two secretarial supervisors, one Elective Admissions Supervisor, two Outpatient Managers and provide support and management for their respective teams of staff which was around 30 - 40 staff, leading, motivating and delegating as needed.Manage the quality of work undertaken by the Child Health Admissions and Outpatients Administration Teams.Manage staff recruitment, absenteeism, contracts, and annual leave for all administration staff within Child Health.
