Sandra 'Sandy' E. McGee is a Communications specialist and instructor with more than 14 years of professional experience. She holds a master's degree in Communication studies from the University of Rhode Island, where her major focus was Political Communications. She also has a bachelor's degree in English literature from Rhode Island College. Sandy has held various roles as a writer, editor, and Communications specialist, working for organizations such as HCH Enterprises Inc., Higher Education, WIMCO Villas and Hotels, and AOL/Huffington Post. She also served as a contractor during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she served as a public health information writer and Communications specialist for the state Rhode Island Department of Health. As a freelance writer, she has produced original content for university websites and publications, including U.S. News and World Report. Sandy also has experience in teaching and designing communication courses for several universities. She has technical skills in editing, journalism, digital media, MLA, APA, and AP writing styles, WordPress, and HTML coding. She currently teaches Communication courses, such as public speaking, interpersonal communication, and small group communication, at the University of Rhode Island, the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, Old Dominion University in Virginia, and Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences in Utah.
