I am currently employed by Superdrug as a store manager .In October of 2005 I moved stores with Superdrug to a run down and demoralised store. Through the development of the team, the standards, morale and sales of the store have improved. During this time I have also recruited two new Assistant Managers for the store and have developed their skills to make them successful and competent Assistant Managers One of whom has now become a store manager. In July I was promoted to a larger store with an annual turnover of £2.1m, where there were inconsistent standards, low team morale and poor customer service. In the first six months in the store , I improved sales from -1.5% in July to +2.6% growth over last year, recruited a new teamleader and restructured the store team in line with current trading patterns. The store underwent a refurbishment in October last year and is currently the only store in the area that was refitted to have achieved its sales budget of 5% increase over the previous years sales. Previously I was employed by Woolworths plc, as a Store Manager. I held this position for approximately three years, prior to this I was an Assistant Manager with the company. I also held the role of District Kidswear specialist, which involved me arranging visits in other stores and training the colleagues in the latest guidelines that have been issued. I consider my strengths to be, people management, good organisational skills, and being able to work when under pressure. In my spare time I enjoy coarse fishing and walking, I have recently completed the National Three Peaks for charity.Currently considering my future options.
