At the Department of Legislative Services within the Maryland General Assembly I get to be a thrice-hatted librarian providing service to the public, staff of the Department, and the General Assembly. I am proud to serve the State of Maryland by providing access to information that is unique to DLS and the General Assembly. Whether it be producing a legislative history, doing basic reference work, providing customer service, deep research, or simply describing the legislative process - this unusual librarian position has equipped me with the ability to be flexible, super creative, fast and efficient.

Severna Park, Maryland

At the Severna Park branch of the Anne Arundel County Public Library I received my breakthrough gig as a public librarian. I managed two library associates at my branch, and I was privileged to participate on system-wide panels such at the New Technology Committee and other technology related initiatives. In addition to serving the public through reference as well as various programming and educational seminars, I learned Invaluable knowledge as to what a library means to every corner of its community. What a library does for its community is amazing. I am thankful to have worked in the public system, and I'm amazed at what they continue to offer - at not cost - to their communities. I'm fawning on my resume, but I love my library.
