I create curriculum and programs involving the teaching of wildlife tracking and bushcraft skills, including tracking and trailing wildlife, for youth and adults in a classroom that can and does take place both inside and outside and virtually. My current experience involves teaching in the United States and South Africa.

Will coordinate the development and implementation of STEM project/problem-based lessons and curriculum for students/teachers K-12, utilizing the E3 Learning Lab which is located in the 83 acre school nature preserve. E3 stands for Engineering, Energy and the Environment. Classroom is a one room science lab located next to the wetland on the school campus.

Trained to lead EF tours for New Albany Schools. Last tour was to Iceland with high school students for the EF Global Leadership Summit.From the capital city’s Blue Lagoon to the incredible views of a small Norse town, explored the natural beauty of Iceland. Learned about green energy in geothermal environments like Krýsuvik Mountain and Eldvörp Crater Row, an awe-inspiring landscape formed by 13th century volcanic eruptions. Joined other teachers and students in Reykjavík for a two-day leadership conference. Heared from world-renowned speakers on business and energy, attend expert-led workshops and gain valuable insight into the future of energy. Using design thinking—a creative problem-solving technique used by companies like Apple and Google—international teams of students will create and present solutions to pressing challenges facing the future of energy.

All Coyote Trails School of Nature instructors are trained in the art of living in the wilderness. Our curriculum consists of skills and traditions, also known as “primitive living skills,” from indigenous cultures all around the world. We teach through the adventure of new experiences and guide students to a grander appreciation of the natural world and a higher level of connection, awareness, self-reliance and confidence in the outdoors. STEM Expedition courses are designed to support the vision that students are truly intellectually curious, self-directed learners capable of expanding their world-view and developing international perspectives. The course environment, activities, projects and assessments are redesigned to emphasize problem based learning and 21st Century skills such as communication, research and inquiry skills, critical thinking and self-assessment. As global citizens, students will have access to teachers at the university level, scientists currently doing research in the field, current technology and a classroom that has no walls. Taught science for grades 6, 7 and 8th. Co-taught science with teachers of identified gifted students and developed curriculum as building's science gifted coordinator. Organized the outdoor education program for 7th grade students. Created the school's Adventure Club which included a two year research program that partnered with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This resulted in students participating in a long term study of loggerhead sea turtles and a trip to the Virginia coast to release them.
