Sandy Sims is the Director of External Relations for Gulf Power Company. She has worked for Gulf Power for more than 30 years and has held various positions within the Customer Sales & Service, External Affairs and the Customer Operations organizations. In her current position, Sandy coordinates the strategic engagement for external affairs, economic development, community development and relations, and major accounts with a strong focus on business development and community sustainability.Sandy is an active community advocate. Currently she is a member of the Panama City Rotary club, serves on the Bay County Economic Development Authority executive committee, on the governing council of the Alignment Bay County initiative, and on the boards of the Bay County Education Foundation, Gulf Coast State College Foundation, and the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center. She is a founding board member and past-chair of IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida. In recent years, she has served as chair of the Northwest Florida State College Board of Trustees, and on numerous boards in Okaloosa, Walton, and Escambia CountiesShe is a product of the northwest Florida educational system, having graduated from Ft. Walton Beach High School and the University of West Florida.
