My name is Sandy Sparks and I am from Buffalo, New York. I am a graduate of Binghamton with a BA in Political Science and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Law. I am attending the University of Buffalo’s Law School to further my career goals. I have worked with diverse individuals and teams my whole life and enjoy in-person connections and projects. I have been interested in legal and criminal studies since attending Binghamton and plan to use these interests to find suitable positions to gain legal experience before entering law school. As an intern at Binghamton University's Speaking Center, I have mastered my public speaking skills while also balancing and improving upon my communication skills, service skills, time management, group leadership skills, and more. I have also worked at Broome County's Clerk's office where I used these skills to maintain office duties and record management tasks. Additionally, I have been a teaching assistant for the University, where I was in charge student grading and records. I have always held leadership roles in my schools and organizations and have held the following positions through my Fraternities; Vice President of Phi Sigma Sigma and assistant Sister Development Chair. Our University has recently added a community service organization, Omega Phi Alpha, where I had the honor of being part of the first inducted member class, officially establishing the Alpha Phi chapter at Binghamton University. Throughout these experiences and positions held, I have been able to efficiently work with different groups all coming from different backgrounds while incorporating my skills and knowledge for success as a whole.
