Work with appropriate individual agencies to develop annual Individual Education Plans (IEP).• Maintain accurate and daily written records including; screening results, assessments, IEP plans, documentation, daily anecdotal child observations, individual child portfolios, conversations/interactions with parents and other required forms.• Foster self-determination by helping parents learn skills they need to care for their children’s/family’s needs.• Coordinate and provide on-going formal and informal training in the areas of parenting, child development, and family development. Work with parents to determine family needs and interest for parent education sessions.• Provide as needed; literacy information/resources, adult education, employment resources.• Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences throughout the year for the purposes of assessment, development of parent-teacher child goals, sharing information on educational strategies and classroom progress and family mapping/goals.• Provide parents/families with information/referrals on community resources. Assist families in crisis through identifying options, resources, and consequences in their decision making.
