The Director of IBM and Storage will participate in a leadership role across all of the Hosted and IT Service Management program across the organization. The program encompasses Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement as aligned with the IT industry leading best practice framework. The Director of Engineering impacts all MEDHOST Hosted and Managed Services functional areas including applications, infrastructure, security, project management, human resources and finance. Critical to any successful ITSM program is governance and its relevant controls and tools for which this role is charged with helping to establish and operate. Moreover this role has direct, operational responsibility over service transition activities related to the firm's infrastructure and hosted services. The main activities are to ensure the smooth ongoing operation and support of hosted products, and the successful technical deployment of existing and future products. The role is also responsible for fielding enhancement requests, and assisting with business case development for new services and hosted products. Other engineering duties include defining and adhering to system architecture, overseeing a small internal staff with underpinning third party vendor support, and identifying ways to exploit MEDHOST’s full capabilities to the benefit of our customers. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader who is always mindful of the impact changes have on people and organizations and is able to successfully engage internal and external clients at all grade levels, serving as a subject matter expert, change agent, and educator on all ITSM related matters. Areas of experience and expertise include IBM Power and iSeries servers, EMC Storage, Brocade SAN switch. The candidate will need to engage disparate teams to execute highly technical projects culminating fully operationalized and profitable IT services.

Summary: Responsible for architecting and engineering of MEDHOST internal and customer facing IBMi and storage solutions. Design and execute strategic objectives to achieve high system uptimes as well as implementing of cost-effective BCDR solutions.  Vision Solutions Mimix Administrator for 30 clients managed HMS clients along with the other 20-25 Mimix clients. Responsible for daily checks and monthly audits ; which includes correcting object , file, IFS and DLO errors, talking to IT personnel , verifying all data is replicated and error free. Responsible for Mimix upgrades, configuring new clients Mimix instance, creating Runbook for each client, and creating release install documentation for HMS software with clients with Mimix. Vision Solutions Mimix Administrator for three replication instances. One instance contains constraint files, while another contains PCI data. Vision Director administrator ; responsible for upgrades , configuring reorg while active files, system performance , spool file control  Maintain the Mimix instance for a planned and/or unplanned switch.  Installation of new and /or migrated iSeries software: i5/OS upgrades, Cumulative PTFs and group PTfs, 3rd party software and hardware upgrades, and configuring and installing HMCs and/or Lan Consoles on the iSeries. . On-call rotation- includes to help with nightly batch processing, correcting issues with Mimix, and some iSeries administration task.  Ensure server technology platforms meet business needs & are deployed / maintained as effectively as possible. Drive continuous improvement of server infrastructure to maximize system availability, performance, flexibility & business continuity Assist with diagnosis of performance problems & develop remediation recommendations & implementation plans. Analyze issues to identify permanent solutions, user training needs, implementation process improvement, and ideas to eliminate business interruptions. Conducts performance tuning analysis, capacity planning, workload modeling, and forecasting. Educate and train clients as part of the implementation process. Work and Enter Cases/Incidents/tasks using Salesforce and RemedyForce.

 Supervisor iSeries System Administrator and Sr. Computer Operator. Configured and installing partitions on 825, 9406-570, and 9117-MMA. Manage the HMC on the iSeries systems; PTFs updates, OS upgrade, and save.  Assist with budgeting for Operations infrastructure and responsible for goals and objectives for the Operations team.  Installation of all iSeries software: i5/OS upgrades, Cumulative PTFs and group PTfs, 3rd party software and hardware upgrades, and configuring and installing IXA/ IXS cards within the iSeries.  Responsible for software pricing, future capacity planning within Operation’s team. Maintain and administer Robot Scheduler. Crypto Complete for PCI environment; configured the HTTPs and administrator the Crypto environment.  Setup and maintains all CA and system certificates on all iSeries.  EMC Centera (CAS), Websphere 5.1 (install and manage), NetApp, IBM 3995 optical jukebox configuration and support. Performance monitoring through Data Collections, Navigator Director, iDoctor (job watcher and pex analysis). Responsible for configuring and supporting Disaster Recovery and HA environments. Managed a complete disaster test for all systems on the WAN and LAN. QA/UAT with programming staff and QA testers. DBU/ DFU /PFE file editors, FTP – configure, monitor. Configured the SSH environment on iSeries,  Manage 2nd and 3rd shift personnel and main operation’s contact for problem escalation. Responsible for four Xerox 4127 printers , supply ordering , maintenance ,budgeting  Create and maintain all user access (security, ifs, imaging, web sites, and fax/400, and special security access). BRMS- setup on five systems, manage, QNTC - backup shares on iSeries configured. Responsible for month-end and year-end closing. Maintain and administer Sol-Com (imaging software); end user support, workflow, and settings. Maintain and create CL, queries, and QM management queries for operations support and end users.
