Responsibilities ranged from strategic planning, operational execution, and financial profitability, with a particular focus on heavy-duty machining, fabrication, painting, and assembly across a spectrum of industries including Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, Wind energy, Nuclear, etc. Led the company through a period of significant transformation, driving people growth and operational efficiency, fostering innovation, maintaining strong relationships with our stakeholders, ensuring top competitiveness within Gas Power supply chain organization. For example, leading on lean kaizen initiatives to drive capacity, productivity with stator frame 50% capacity expansion and 60% lead time reduction.

Started operational role from Wind COE, then expanded to manage the whole operation site. Successfully led the transformation from COE structure to one big operation team. Focused on aspects of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity to drive operational excellence.

Overall leadership of GE Hangzhou sourcing organization over 20 people with $60M+ annual buy that includes both direct and indirect materials, supplier development, vendor qualification, strategical planning, and fulfillment. Delivered 10% YOY savings utilizing negotiations, contracting and supplier management. Built up strong partnerships with shop operation teams.

Electronic/Electrical commodity manager for GE power global sourcing organization. Dramatically shifted GE’s buy in China from $80M to $135M with 15% annual savings in 2 years and cash benefits with improved terms over the period. Championed the auction process to deliver $5MM deflation through further localization efforts.

Responsible for site sourcing activities including strategic vendor partnership setup, supplier development, ~$40M material purchasing and fulfillment. Overcame tough time to transit and upgrade whole supplier base from Hydro to Heavy duty Gas turbine. Achieved sourcing for $30M NPI investment with significant budget savings.
