am working as a full time faculty in the Department of Critical Care at sagar Hospital, Bangalore. It is multispeciality corporate hospital & more than decade old with around 450 beds. Over the years, it has grown and has been rated one among the best in the city of Bangalore. It has two centres and many clinics attached. The level and standard of medical care in this hospital is recognised and respected across the state of Karnataka. The Critical Care Department here runs a multi-disciplinary ICU, where we get a wide range of medical and post-operative patients. There is active participation in research and teaching, and the Physicians are subjected to an intensive performance based review programme. Iam actively involved in teaching critical care medicne to junior doctors,nursing staff and as well ACLS instructor taking BLS classes to nursing staff.

I worked as Specialist Registrar in the Department of Critical Care at st john'sHospital and was trained as an Advanced Trainee in the Intensive Care unit from January 2013to january 2014. This ICU is a multi disciplinary one which caters its services to medical , neuro, cardiac , trauma and post operative patients. Here I have learnt practicing evidence based medicine, infection control policies and following international protocols and quality indicators like ‘FASTHUG’ to enable good outcomes . The plan of care for the patient is prepared in consensus with the admitting specialist, the patient and the family. I have also been trained to provide retrieval services to patients from other hospitals that do not have similar facilities which involves transporting critically ill patients from other healthcare facilities in a well-equipped ambulance.
