Sandy is the Program Director for the Trebek Initiative, a new joint venture between National Geographic and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) that supports emerging storytellers, conservationists, innovators, educators and researchers who are documenting Canadian and Indigenous land, wildlife, water, cultures and histories. She also manages RCGS’ Explorers-in-Residence program, and Expedition and Research Grants.

As Director, Sandy was responsible for leading the strategy and development of all communications deployed by WE Charity's Co-Founder including internal and external communications. She also oversaw a team of five while project managing the organization's 25th-anniversary efforts across three major verticals (social entrepreneurship, wellbeing and sustainable development) including researching and testing new product offerings, building budgets, timelines and marketing materials.

In this role, Sandy was responsible for leading a team that delivered a unified donor engagement and communications program encompassing all revenue streams and channels including, digital, social, direct mail and telemarketing. Sandy's team served as a centralized resource for the entire Revenue Development department, both at HQ and regional offices.
