Current• Coordinating with the Board to implement the strategic direction of the Trust• Recruiting and managing staff, reserve managers, contractors and volunteers• Managing the Trust through a period of significant sustainable change to enable it to be more responsive to opportunities and a more compelling conservation partner• Implementing changes to systems and processes• Identifying, developing and managing partnerships and relationships• Maximising the Trust’s fundraising potential• Developing and improving communications• Developing and implementing strategic operational changes to improve restoration outcomes and maximise carbon income• Negotiating and managing forward carbon contracts• Working with vendors, legal counsel, sponsors and grantors, other conservation groups, local iwi, QEII National Trust, local and regional councils, neighbours and media to facilitate and promote the acquisition of new properties
