My name is Sandy, and I am a Primary School Teacher (Year 1 and 2) and a Secondary School Teacher (Year-7-12) with experience in teaching Junior and Senior School students, English as a Second Language (ESL), Drama and Music classes both overseas and in Australia. I’m passionate about nurturing student development and fostering creativity, while inspiring change in the lives and minds of young students.I am also particularly passionate about Neuroscience and the Cognitive Brain Development in young adolescents, extending from early years to adolescence. My deep interest in understanding the nuances of the brain, learning and memory drives my commitment to enhancing student learning experiences through Brain-Based learning strategies. I thrive on exploring innovative ways to integrate these insights into my teaching methodologies, fostering a dynamic and engaging educational environment. I will further my studies of the brain by undertaking a postgraduate degree Masters in Neuroscience in 2025.In addition to my educational pursuits, I am a certified Pilates Instructor with a profound love for health, wellness and movement. I love the transformative power of Pilates, not just for physical strength and flexibility, but also for mental health and overall well-being.
